This breath-taking church is located on the Tohono O'odham reservation. It was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. Construction of the current church began in 1783 and was completed in 1797. The oldest intact European structure in Arizona, the church's interior is filled with marvelous original statuary and mural paintings.
Sabino Canyon is a longer, but beautiful hike! There may or may not be water in the falls, but it is breathtaking regardless. Even if you opt not to hike all the way into the canyon there are shorter loops and other activities that are worth your while.
