Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
With tons of desert animals and critters this is a perfect place to get acquainted with the Sonoran Desert we call home! There are both indoor & outdoor exhibits and the museum is very kid-friendly!
San Xavier del Bac Mission
This breath-taking church is located on the Tohono O'odham reservation. It was founded as a Catholic mission by Father Eusebio Kino in 1692. Construction of the current church began in 1783 and was completed in 1797. The oldest intact European structure in Arizona, the church's interior is filled with marvelous original statuary and mural paintings.
The University of Arizona
The U of A is Anna's alma matter and has tons to do! You can grab a bite on campus or University Blvd., check out the AZ State Museum on Campus, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Bear Down, Go Cats!
Tumamoc Hill
Tumamoc Hill is 3 miles round-trip that reaches about 700 feet in elevation and gives you a great view of Tucson! The hill is quite steep and can be challenging but it is surely rewarding.
Sabino Canyon
Sabino Canyon is a longer, but beautiful hike! There may or may not be water in the falls, but it is breathtaking regardless. Even if you opt not to hike all the way into the canyon there are shorter loops and other activities that are worth your while.
Sentinel Peak / "A" Mountain
'A' mountain is a landmark, hiking trail, park and sunset-watching destination in the Tucson Mountains on the west side of Downtown Tucson.
Gates Pass Scenic Lookout
We love hiking and sight seeing here, it is one of the most beautiful places in Tucson in our opinion!
La Encantada
This fancy shopping center has plenty of goodies! You can shop til you drop and grab a bite to eat afterwards. Frost gelato is a favorite frozen treat of ours :)
