Question

Should I wear heels or flats?

Answer

Probably flats or a chunky heel since most of the day will be outside on the grass.

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

The wedding party will stay onsite at The Lookout. It's old school but charming :) For our other guests, we have rented many AirBNBs in the area, and you can Venmo us for the cost. We'll have a shuttle go to the locations that we rented. Please text or email us if you'd like to see the google spreadsheet of available AirBNBs. You can also book at the Fort Knox Park Inn or the Bucksport Inn. There is camping on-site at The Lookout. Campers will camp next to the inn and cottages. There will be an airconditioned bathroom trailer available for use throughout the weekend. We can help coordinate using a shower in someone's room or cottage as well. The more campers the better! It's a beautiful oceanfront area. You're welcome to book your own accommodations as well, but we have booked most of the places close to the venue. There are several small inns near Brooklin and hotels in Ellsworth and Bucksport if you choose to do your own accommodations or if ours are full. The shuttle will not be able to go to locations that people book on their own.

Question

When's the last DD leaving the party?

Answer

1:30am! The shuttle will be running til then

Question

Why are you having your wedding so far away from everything?

Answer

We were randomly sailing nearby the place on a 10-day sailing trip. Annaliese really wanted a shower and a toilet that worked so she called every hotel on the water that they were going to pass. After 10 hotels said they were sold out... Butch (the owner of The Lookout), answered while he was at the grocery store and told us we could come on in. The restaurant was closed due to Covid, so there was no where to eat onsite, and the nearest restaurant wasn't in walking distance. Butch let us borrow his car for the night, and we went out to a romantic dinner at the lovely Brooklin Inn. The next morning Butch chatted with us for 30 minutes at breakfast and showed us photos of weddings and a music festival he used to host. We fell in love with the place. It's a magical old-timey Mainer of a spot. We hope you'll love it too!

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

There is a field to park in at the Lookout. People can leave their cars overnight if they wish.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love kids, but the wedding will be an adults-only PARTTTTY! There will be two babysitters who will babysit kids at the wedding venue in the Owenta Cottage. Babysitting will be available from 2pm-12am. All ages are fine. Annaliese and Sean will cover the cost of the babysitting, but please tip :) They'll have mac & cheese and chicken nuggets for dinner. Please let Annaliese or Sean know if you will need help with childcare in advance so we can make sure we have enough babysitters. We'd love to see your kids for the welcome party on Friday night or during brunch on Sunday!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

You can wear whatever you want! Some ideas: sundresses, cocktail dresses, suits, pants & button up, jumpsuit. The Maine coast can get chilly at night, even if it's a warm day, so bring a jacket or shawl.
