In October 2021, we both had the same thought: "Why not try Hinge?" Anna was finishing nursing school in Virginia, and Kenneth was completing his MBA at Indiana University. On the day of the flight, Kenneth changed his itinerary so he would arrive before Anna. When he learned there were no flowers at SFO, he took an Uber to a nearby florist and rushed back just in time to surprise her at baggage claim. When Anna saw him waiting with flowers, her eyes widened and her face turned bright red—she was in sweatpants, a hair tie, and no makeup, completely unprepared for the moment. Kenneth, however, couldn’t have cared less. He knew he made the right choice. After three dates in San Francisco and San Jose over the next two weeks, we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.
