A Modern Love Story

"Hinge- The app thats meant to be deleted."

Like many couples these days, we met on Hinge—a dating app that’s proudly “designed to be deleted.” And, well… mission accomplished. Harry was the first to “heart” Anna’s profile, drawn in by her backpacking photo and her goal of spending more time camping. Anna decided to match with Harry after reading his response to the prompt “Together we could...” (you can read it under the Gallery tab). We both, independently, felt there were enough good vibes to take things offline and give a first date a shot. That first date was at Phoenix Coffee, a cozy local spot that has since become our place (and, in our opinion, still has the best coffee around). The date was just that—a first date. Simple, low-key, high nerves, and a good start. But it was our second date—a bike ride along the Suwannee Greenway—where things really started to click. We realized how much fun we had together, how easy it felt, and how much we actually had in common. As we spent more time together, the wild connections started to unfold. We discovered we’d grown up going to the same places and knew a lot of the same people—without ever actually meeting. One of the craziest? Harry’s sister-in-law Kylie (married to his twin brother Brad—who we’re so honored to have marry us!) had been in Anna’s small group from 8th through 12th grade, with yearly reunions all through college. There were plenty of times we could have met, but as they say, the right person at the wrong time is still the wrong person—so we’re grateful things unfolded exactly when they did. Early on, we also discovered a shared love for the outdoors, adventure, and fun. From camping in freezing temps to soaking up the Caribbean sun—and plenty of stops in between—we’ve packed a lot into a year and a half of doing life together. We’ve come full circle—with Harry pulling off the best surprise proposal at the Greenway, and us taking our engagement photos back at Phoenix Coffee, the very place where our story quietly began. God has been in the details from the start and we are so thankful for the many moments, highs and lows, that led us to this point. Thank you for being a part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.
