We would love this to feel like a small vacation for our friends and family to experience that they may never have done otherwise. If that includes bringing your child, then we are happy to have them. If you and your child can tolerate being in the sun and running around a music festival from 11 am to upwards of 10 pm, there are plenty of things to do that are geared toward children within the event - specifically Kidsapalooza. This is a section of the festival with a private activities lounge and stage for children and their families. If the easiest thing to do logistically to get to the wedding is bringing your children, we will happily see you all there! If you decide to bring your child, please contact Annah directly for more information.
Always check the Lollapalooza website for a detailed description of what NOT to bring. These rules are 100% accurate and 100% enforced no matter what anyone or any reddit thread may tell you. However, we are semi-seasoned festival goers, and we have a pretty good grasp on how to do these things the smart way. 1) Get a Fanny Pack or Backpack - and make sure it is a single pocket to fit with Lollapalooza guidelines. 2) Bring a reusable water bottle 3) Travel sized clorox wipes, kleenex wipes, and hand sanitizer 4) Sunscreen 5) Travel blanket/tarp 6) Portable charger 7) Cooling towel 8) Earplugs 9) Deodorant and/or chafing rub
Function over fashion, friends. The biggest key is comfort: moisture-wicking, workout gear, running shoes, sun protection should be in your vocabulary. Ball caps, sun hats, running shoes, biker shorts, long-wear sandals like Teva's, Birkenstock's, and Chaco's. It will be hot and you will be doing a considerable amount of walking. Bring what you know you'll be comfortable in. This goes for the ceremony as well. Wearing a sundress over bike shorts and wearing Birkenstock’s will carry from the ceremony to the festival perfectly - so consider finding an outfit to serve both purposes. We just want you to be comfortable!
