What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal: black tie-optional. We suggest suit or tux for the gentlemen and floor length or midi gowns for the ladies.

We ask that only those named on the invitation attend.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have 2 hotel blocks across the harbor in Mount Pleasant for a more affordable rate. If you are looking to stay in downtown Charleston/walk to the events, feel free to book a downtown hotel or short-term rental.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We recommend calling rideshare or walking to both venues. Please call all rideshares to 38 Alexander Street for the Gadsden House address. If you choose to drive to the ceremony, there is limited street parking, metered and 2 hour free spots, and the MUSC Rutledge parking garage next to St. Luke’s Chapel. At the Gadsden House, there are metered parking spots as well as a garage at 33 Alexander Street. If you plan on enjoying our beverage options, please use a rideshare app!
