Anna moved to Philadelphia in early 2018, shortly after beginning her role as a nurse in the Emergency Room at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. At the same time, Fred was working as an ED tech there. Their friendship sparked during a conversation about that year’s Super Bowl, when the Eagles were set to play and Anna, a passionate Giants fan, couldn’t resist sharing her thoughts. From that moment, their connection deepened, and over time, they became close friends. In 2019, they embarked on their first trip together—an unforgettable vacation to Italy with their good friends, Bimal and Bhavisa. This marked the beginning of many adventures around the world. Together, they have traveled to Italy (many times), Costa Rica, Tulum, Puerto Rico, and countless US cities. While Anna knew early on that Fred was "the one," Fred took some time to fully open his heart again. Their friendship, built on mutual love for exploring new restaurants (as avid foodies), traveling to new places, and their shared experiences in the emergency room, naturally blossomed into something more. By late 2021, their relationship evolved into something serious, and in August of 2022, Fred officially made it known that Anna was the one he wanted to build a future with. After countless vacations, meals shared at new restaurants, and endless days spent together at CHOP, Fred planned the perfect proposal in one of their favorite cities—Florence, Italy. On June 14, 2024, surrounded by the beauty and history of the city, he asked Anna to marry him, marking a new chapter in their love story.
