All US travelers must have a valid US passport for return travel to the US with a minimum of six 6-month validity. The main airport serving Los Cabos is the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and is 16 miles from JW Marriott Los Cabos.

Taxis: Taxis are widely available but they do not accept credit card payments, cash only. Uber: Uber is available in Los Cabos but they have no access to pick you up from the airport so you would need to make prior arrangements for airport transfers. Although some resorts do not allow Uber to pick up guests they can only drop you off. You may want to check with your resort prior to arrival what the policy on the property is.
The Mexican peso & US dollars are widely accepted in most of the resorts and restaurants as well as Visa and MasterCard. American Express is accepted in only a few businesses and some resorts will not accept payment cash in US dollars. American checks are not accepted in Los Cabos. Most of the ATMs will provide you only pesos. Make sure you contact your bank before you visit Mexico to inform them of your trip so they do not block your credit cards.
In January temperatures in Los Cabos are usually between 70°F and 80°F and sunny. The humidity is usually between 60% and 65% in December.
The Los Cabos area is fortunate to have 21 miles of sandy shoreline. The majority of beaches in Los Cabos are not safe for swimming due to strong undercurrents and riptides. The swimmable public beaches are Medano Beach, Santa Maria Bay, Chileno Bay, Palmilla Beach and Costa Azul beach all located on the Sea of Cortez, no swimming is allowed on the Pacific Coast.
