Grayson and I were both just 18 years old when we first locked eyes. Dreamily enough, we met on both of our first days of Freshman orientation at the University of North Georgia! Grayson was an incoming biology major, and I was a biochemistry major. Very lucky for us, the school split students up by their incoming majors into meeting and activity groups. After a very full and exhausting first day on campus as an incoming student, our groups were set to play volleyball and corn hole in the recreation center. I remember playing volleyball with all the other incoming freshman and I locked eyes with a handsome boy with some seriously gorgeous eyes. He was just watching everyone play with his hands in his pockets, so I gestured for him to come and play. He smiled, walked over and played right next to me. That evening, we talked in a corner about everything and anything we could think of while our peers were partaking in our scheduled mixer. We walked back to our on-campus housing for the night, and Grayson says he asked for a whole elevator of people's numbers just to get mine. And when I about to walk out of the elevator, he leaned over and reminded me I hadn't given him my number. We exchanged numbers then and there, and have talked 24/7 ever since! We dated steadily throughout the 4.5 years it took us both to graduated, him with his BSN and me with my BS in Political Science. Over these past 7 years, there have been some major ups and downs in both our lives and relationship. Throughout it all, we both remain committed and excited about our relationship to each other. Over the years, we have added a dog and a snake to our little family. We can't wait to add more members soon ;) -- With love and gratitude, Annabette
