Quarter Day Tour:

Starting on Canal street, head down Royal and visit the shops and galleries that line the street. Drop by the Napoleon House for Muffalettas, po' boys & other Creole staples in a circa-1914 house with a palm-filled courtyard. From there, feel free to stroll up Chartres, cross Jackson Square and pick yourself up with a coffee and beignet from Cafe Du Monde.

Arts District Tour:

If you have a little more time:

Take the streetcar down St. Charles, hop off at Napoleon Ave to knock back oysters and cool down with a frozen French 75 at Superior Seafood. Take a cab to the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at City Park. Shop on Magazine for vintage (Blue Dream), home goods (Sunday Shop), and spoil yourself with a sandwich at Turkey and the Wolf.
