Our Story : Annabelle and Kaleb met while working together at Maggiano’s. Kaleb remembers seeing a "cute and quiet girl working hard," and after she told him she was a firefighter and expressed her heart for the Lord, he knew he had found a hidden gem. Annabelle remembers their first conversation a bit differently—mostly Kaleb being shocked she was in the fire academy and asking if she was “a little small” and then "smartly" using her phone to follow himself on Instagram! Their early days were spent hanging out with friends from church until a February afternoon spent hammocking turned into a first date. After a long walk in weighted vests and dinner at Red Door, Kaleb asked, "What is this?" and was relieved to find they were on the same page. Kaleb eventually realized he needed to marry Annabelle during a walk on a trail, feeling a deep sense of love and peace he hadn't known before. For Annabelle, Kaleb’s honesty and seeing how he fit in so naturally with her family—even wrestling with her brothers on the living room floor—confirmed that he was the partner she had been praying for. What They Are Looking Forward To : What Annabelle and Kaleb are most excited for is the opportunity to build a life and grow up together. Following the advice of Annabelle’s father, they are eager to learn how to navigate the world as a team rather than being set in their independent ways. As two self-proclaimed homebodies, they are looking forward to the simple joy of "doing nothing together" without the pressure of planning outings just to see one another. After months of getting to know each other as best friends, they are ready to step into this new chapter.
