FAQs

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Dublin, as it is the closest airport to Luttrellstown Castle.

Question

How far is the venue from the airport?

Answer

About 20 minutes by car from Dublin Airport (DUB); ~30 minutes from Dublin City Centre.

Question

Will transportation be provided to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Please view the "Schedule" and "Travel" tabs.

Question

Do I need a rental car, or is it easy to get around without one?

Answer

No car needed, Dublin taxis, rideshares, and buses are reliable. A car can be handy for day trips beyond the city. We reccomend the app "FreeNow" over Uber.

Question

What are the best accommodation options nearby?

Answer

Please view our travel & accommodations page for more information.

Question

Is there a room block or discounted rate for guests?

Answer

Please view our travel & accommodations page for more information.

Question

When should I book my flights and hotel?

Answer

For best fares/availability, book flights 3–6 months out (earlier for peak summer) and hotels as soon as our room block opens.

Question

Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Ireland?

Answer

A valid passport is required. U.S. citizens visiting for ≤90 days don’t need a visa; other nationalities should check Ireland’s official visa page. Please make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months of your travel date. If it does, you will need to renew it prior to traveling.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

For the welcome party, we ask that ladies wear elevated sundresses or cocktail dresses, and that men wear a blazer and khakis, no tie required. The wedding will be a black-tie affair - floor-length gowns for women, and tuxes with black neckties or bowties for men.

Question

What will the weather be like in Ireland at that time of year?

Answer

Dublin is mild and changeable—think layers and a light rain jacket year-round.

Question

Is there a welcome party or other events we should know about?

Answer

Yes, please view our itinerary page!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We have planned an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception, and we’ll have a weather-friendly contingency plan in place.

Question

What time should guests arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony start.

Question

What currency is used?

Answer

Euro and Great British Pound

Question

Do I need to bring an outlet adapter for electronics?

Answer

Yes! Type-G plug, 230V/50Hz. Bring a simple adapter (most phone/laptop chargers are dual-voltage).

Question

How should I inform you of dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Note them on your Zola RSVP form; we’ll share with them with the venue.

Question

How will you share updates leading up to the wedding?

Answer

Right here on Zola. Take a look at the banner for updates & changes.
