Hello all! We are so excited to get to celebrate our upcoming marriage with you! We, unfortunately, have had to change our venue and reduce the amount of guest who are invited due to COVID-19. If you contract COVID-19 after September 20, 2020, do not come to the wedding. You are still shedding the virus and can still spread it. Please make sure to check the website frequently as we will be providing updates regarding COVID-19 restrictions and regulations.
In the Fall of 2014, I took up playing Quidditch at Florida State University. I was a chaser and he was a beater. It was technically my junior year and his freshman year at FSU. One day, I was not feeling too well at practice and he checked up on me to make sure I was okay. It was at that point that I got his number and as they say the rest is history. By October we were talking and in November we were officially a couple. We will have been together for almost six years by the time of the wedding!
May 18, 2019, a day I will never forget. Ben and I are both nature lovers and have been dying to go check out Phipps Conservatory here in Pittsburgh. That day we were between going to our favorite park, Frick Park or going to Phipps. It began raining so that decision was easy. When we got to Phipps, it unfortunately appeared to be a busy day, so Ben and I were both trying to find a less crowded spot so we could enjoy ourselves. He looks at the map and decided we would go to the desert room. I was excited because succulents are my favorite! He rushes me through the conservatory and when we get there he pulls me in for a big hug and tells me how great this past year has been, how much he loves me, and how lucky he is to spend his life with me. Still up to this point I have no clue what is about to happen. Next thing I know he is reaching into his pocket, pulls out a ring, and asks me to marry him. Of course I said yes! We continue our stroll through Phipps, a bit more relaxed now, and ended our trip by buying a cute little orchid to commemorate.
