Did you know Lake Erie has islands in it? Put-in-Bay is the larger of the islands and played a critical role in the 1813 Battle of Lake Erie. In addition to climbing Perry's International Peace Monument, you can enjoy Put-in-Bay's renowned bar and restaurant scene and beautiful views of Sandusky Bay. A ferry runs from downtown Sandusky to Kelley's and Put-in-Bay daily.
Kelleys Island is the largest island in Lake Erie and provides lot of natural beauty to enjoy, including glacial groves leftover from the ice age that formed the Great Lakes. We recommended renting bikes once you get to the island to fully experience its charm. FUN FACT: Anna Bell's mom was the Spanish teacher on Kelleys Island and had to fly or take the ferry every week to teach the handful of students that live on the island all year round.

Anna Bell told her parents Stephen was just a friend, her parents knew otherwise. Tom and Nancy bonded with Stephen almost immediately over Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza and ice cold Miller Lite.

Marblehead Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse still in operation on the Great Lakes. Visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse for excellent views of Lake Erie and the islands.
