Our venue is unable to accommodate a large number of people for the ceremony so unfortunately, unless specified otherwise, we cannot have everyone bring a plus one to our wedding. However, they are more than welcome to stay at the resort with you.
We would love if everyone could dress up semi-formal or dressy causal, but please do not feel pressured. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors if that helps people plan.
We would love it if people could RSVP as soon as possible but the official deadline is a month out from the wedding. We need to have our final headcount for our catering at that time.
If you do not RSVP we will assume you are not coming but please contact the bride or groom as soon as possible if you can come. However, most likely we will be unable to accommodate you at our wedding. We have to pay per person that comes so unless someone backs out last minute the venue will not let us have more people than we paid for.
Absolutely not. Many of our family members live only an hour and a half from our Lake Placid venue. So, if you are sober and want to drive home of course you can. However, we do have room blocks in place at our venue. Our guests will have a set rate and discount on rooms.
The resort has set some rooms aside for us that are in the same hall or as close as possible. Check in is at 4, so if you come before then on Sunday you will have to get a parking pass at the desk or park across the street. You will not be able to book online to get the room block and discount. You will have to call the resort and say you are guests of the Smith-Goolden and LaShomb wedding. Staying Saturday night might make the Sunday easier for people but please do whatever works best.
Guests staying at the resort look at the previous question. For guests not staying at the resort, you will not be able to park at the venue. There is a parking lot right across the road and you should be able to park there. There is also parking along the side of the road. However, it is to my understanding that most of the parking outside of the venue is paid to park so please keep that in mind. I believe parking is $2 per hour but I am not positive.
Kind of. We have a consumption bar. We paid a certain amount of money for people to get free drinks and once that money runs out it will be a cash bar. So please enjoy yourself but also be mindful so everyone can get some free drinks as well.
