What time does the ceremony start?
Answer
The ceremony will start promptly at 4pm. Please arrive by 3:30pm

What does the weather look like?
Answer
For the wedding day, sunshine with highs of 70 F (21 C) and lows of 50 F (10 C).

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception. All other activities are casual. We will be walking in grass and gravel and be outdoors majority of the time.

Where are you registered?
Answer
We have lived together for 3 years and have accumulated too much stuff, so we are not registered. If you would like to gift us a wedding gift, we have cash funds on this website and will have a card box at the wedding. Thank you!

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Yes, kids are welcome and encouraged! Plenty of space for them to run around and space to set up pack'n'plays for nap time. Let us know if you need help finding a room for kids to nap. Feel free to bring toys/balls and anything else they may want to play with outside

What about food and drinks?
Answer
Water on site is potable. Please bring re-useable water bottles for daytime activities. We will be providing all meals + snacks + drinks, however, if you would like to bring your own, there is a shared kitchen with plenty of room for food/drinks, please make sure you label with your name.

What is there to do on site?
Answer
We will have lawn games but feel free to bring anything else (including picnic blankets, games, etc) to entertain yourself and/or your kids. This is a 100-acre property of forests, creeks, and open space. There are a couple hiking trails that loop through the property.

Will there be cell service?
Answer
Certain providers work well at OVY, including Verizon and AT&T. T-Mobile does not have service. There is no wifi on the property so please plan accordingly.

How do I get ready on site?
Answer
You are welcome to get ready on site. Keep in mind, this wedding is at a summer camp site, and the amenities are what you would expect. The log cabins can be used for changing, as well as the locker area near the pool. There are shared bathrooms with shower stalls next to the dining hall and at the swimming pool.

What if I choose to stay in a cabin or the lodge?
Answer
The cabins/rooms at the lodge have twin mattresses. You would have to bring your own sheets/blanket (or sleeping bag) and pillow. Please also bring your own toiletries, towels, flip flops etc for showers. You will be able to drive your car to the cabins/lodge, unload your stuff, and then park in the designated guest parking. The cabins are located on the campsite, so has access to bathrooms but showers are at other locations on site. The lodge has both bathrooms and showers.

What if I choose to camp?

If you are camping, you can bring all your normal camp gear, tent, sleeping bag, chairs, etc. Please also bring your own toiletries, towels, flip flops etc for showers. You will be able to drive right to the campsite, unload your stuff, and then park in the designated guest parking. At the campsite, there are bathrooms available, but showers are located next to the dining hall and at the swimming pool.

How do we get there and back to our hotel?
Answer
You can take Highway 1, 92 or 84 to get to OVY. 84 is a nice drive but it is the most windy of the three. There is plenty of on site parking. Ubers should be available from your hotels in Half Moon Bay, and to get an Uber from the site to your hotel, we recommend scheduling a ride with Uber ahead of time (they will usually decline if you order on the spot). We also encourage people to stay on site or carpool and designate a driver.

You mentioned a swimming pool...
Answer
The swimming pool will be closed for swimming. The gate into the swimming pool area will be unlocked to allow access to the bathrooms and showers. Inside of that gate, there is no fence around the pool so please be mindful of children.
