We recommend walking around the lawn outside the museum while holding hands (see above picture).
Also across from the Intercontinental, Hermann Park is full of activities including a walking/jogging loop, a rose garden and a Japanese garden, a public golf course, and pedal boat rentals on the McGovern "lake". It also connects to the Houston Zoo and the Natural Museum of Science!
The Houston Zoo is the second most visited zoo in America, and it's right across from the hotel!
Check it out for some Texas bbq, live music, and the giant armadillo out front!
NASA is a little over 30 minutes driving from the Intercontinental, but it's a museum packed with indoor and outdoor exhibits about NASA's history and space exploration.
The MFA has a very extensive collection of art and rotating exhibits on view. Check out their website closer to September to check out what's going on our wedding weekend!
Order the carnitas old school style, extra crispy!
Loads of shopping, restaurant, and people watching opportunities in Rice Village!
Rent a bike for a few hours and explore the bike routes on the buffalo bayou, through Memorial Park, or on the MKT and Heights hike n' bike trails!
