Our first date was at Fuzzy's tacos at Iowa State University. We ordered tacos and talked for hours like we've known each other for years. The conversation was natural and there was an instant connection. Weston asked Anna to be his girlfriend on October 10th, 2016.

We started dating, and a couple months later, Iowa state had a homecoming tradition to go "campaniling" on homecoming weekend, where any Iowa state student can bring their significant other to kiss them under the campanile when the bells ring at midnight. Hundreds of students come to the campanile during homecoming weekend and Weston and I went together in fall of 2016. After we kissed at midnight, Anna told Weston she loved him for the first time and he said it back.

In May of 2019, on memorial day, Weston and I planned to take Beyer out to central campus at Iowa State to play frisbee and take pictures to announce to family and friends that we were moving to Colorado for Anna to pursue her teaching career, but Weston had another plan. After playing frisbee, we started taking pictures, and Weston said to Anna , just as we were about to leave, "We should take another one with the campanile in the background" and I agreed. He adjusted the camera and got down on one knee to propose, in the place we first said "I love you" three years later. Anna said YES and agreed to marry her best friend for life. We moved to Colorado a month later, and set our wedding date for 10/10/2020 at the Buffalo Rose in Golden, CO, which will be the exact date Weston asked Anna to be his girlfriend, 4 years later.
