Anna and Wells met the old-fashioned way, online. Each had been searching for many years for the one they wanted to spend the rest of their life with. From the time of their first dinner date in Rancho Santa Fe, they found so much in common: the love of travel, history, family, food - and shared values. It was the “last first date” they had both been yearning for for a decade or more. The rest, as they say, is history, and the two former lawyers have been inseparable ever since. In May 2022, Wells invited Anna on a sailing trip through the Greek Islands. Anna is not a sailor like Wells but somehow managed NOT to get sick sailing - and she never complained about some of the rougher passages of the trip. Wells knew he had found a parter for life! One night, overtaken by the romantic view of the setting sun over Santorini, he asked Anna if she would like dessert, to which she replied "NO, I don't eat dessert". At a loss for further excuses, he came out and asked her "OK, but would you marry me?" And she said "YES!" And the pre-wedding bells have been ringing ever since as the happy couple prepares for their new life together! They currently split their time between the golden California desert of La Quinta, where Wells has a home, and Anna's home by the beach in sunny Solana Beach - and Greece, where they recently bought a home in the islands. They both like adventure and discovery - but they also love home and being with their kids. Anna has one daughter, Grace, 18, who is about to go to college in 2023, and Wells has two grown children, Annette, 29, an architect who lives in Paris, AND Neil, 26, a commercial airline pilot. Family and friends are everything to Anna and Wells - and now, they also have each other! Their relationship has already been a big voyage of discovery - and they wasted no time with it!
