Once upon a time, in the vast world of social media, Vlad was very persistent. He sent messages to Anna — a lot of messages. Anna, on the other hand, was… well, let’s just say she had a habit of taking her sweet time to reply. Sometimes days, sometimes ignoring messages altogether (oops, Anna’s bad habit right there!). Vlad was eager to meet in person, but Anna always seemed busy. Until one day, when the stars finally aligned, and Anna had some free time. Vlad suggested a Sunday morning run at Maroubra Beach in Sydney. Anna’s reply? A firm “No, I won’t run” — because, you know, laziness can be an art form. Understanding her perfectly, Vlad came prepared… with a skateboard! Now, Anna stood on a skateboard for maybe the first time ever. Was she scared? Absolutely. Did she manage to skate? Not quite. But the effort was priceless or at least Insta pics say so. Instead, they went for a long walk in La Perouse Park. For a whole hour, Vlad talked about his ex (classic move), while Anna shared her indecision about whether to start a master’s degree or jump into work once she would return to Switzerland after her exchange year. Romantic, right? (Definitely not your typical first-date chat!) Then came the classic: Anna said she needed to go home and do homework — on a Sunday. Really? Vlad wasn’t having it. He proposed sushi first, then homework later. So off they went for takeaway sushi — yes, this was during Covid times. Anna, ever the graceful eater, accidentally spilled soy sauce on her light blue leggings. Vlad, like the knight in shining armor, dashed back to the cafe to rescue her with a napkin. Touching? Very. That was their first meeting. Did Anna fall head over heels? Not quite. But a second date came, born out of boredom, and it changed everything — where Anna was won over by Vlad’s humor and the countless fun moments they shared, including dancing to Verka Serduchka while sipping wine in the Balmain park with a stunning view of Sydney. And that’s how a message that took days to get a reply turned into a lifetime of laughter and love!
