I wish I could tell y'all a meet-cute story of how I met Treavor but that is not our beginning. Treavor and I met how any good 21st century couple meets these days... a dating app! About a week after chatting on the phone Treavor wanted to meet me for a coffee date in exchange for my phone number (we were communicating on the app up until this point). But before our date Treavor had to warn me of something. Now this statement made my mind go through a list of crazy things he was about to tell me. What he said next was the last thing I expected to hear; he had a mustache. We happened to meet in Mustache March which, if you know anything about Air Force pilots, Mustache March is an important tradition. I had to laugh when he told me this because I was expecting way worse. So on March 16, 2019 I met Treavor, mustache and all, at a coffee shop called Kudu in downtown Charleston. Now I didn't go meet a complete stranger alone, I brought back up. My sister and our 60 lb dog, Finley, were near the coffee shop just in case Treavor turned out to be a creep. Luckily for me that wasn't the case. Treavor and I ended up talking on the patio of the coffee shop for about three hours. We then walked around King street still chatting away. Eventually the date ended and we went our separate ways. My sister was not too happy with me when the date ended as she had been sitting there in the park the whole time, so I had to buy her lunch to make up for it. Treavor and I continued to text following that day and the next Friday night we went on our first official date. I let him pick me up from my house this time and we went to dinner as well as a comedy show downtown. Afterwards he took me home, gave me a hug, and went on his way. We ended up spending that whole weekend together and most weekends ever since.
