Question

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception, and when will it end?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 5:00 PM in The Loft at The Barn, followed by Cocktail Hour in the Milking Parlor. Dinner service will take place at 7 PM in the Haymow Room. The reception will end at 10:30 PM.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm (15220 Military Rd, Bennington, NE 68007) is just north of the intersection of Military road and State street. HOWEVER, there will be construction blocking the main entrance from State street. The new entrance to The Barn will be off Davidson Street. You can take State street to Davidson Street, turn North on Davidson street and follow it to The Barn parking lot.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes or so early before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled before the proceedings begin.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All events will take place indoors, however, if weather permits we may open the garage doors for cocktail hour.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It looks like, as of right now, it's going to be cloudy but climb up to the low 60's.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking lots on the west and south sides of The Barn.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This a business casual to semi-formal event. Guys are invited to wear polos, button-down shirts with slacks or even a suit if they want. Women are invited to wear a nice shirt and slacks, a dress, or even a gown if they want. If you want to dress fancier, you are more than welcome.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

As long as it is not all white, wear whatever color you like! We ask that you reserve the colors olive green and burnt orange for the wedding party.

What's the best way to RSVP?

Answer

It's your preference! Text or RSVP-ing on this website are all perfectly fine, just make sure you RSVP in some shape or form by the deadline!!! To contact Anna, text (402) 595-0629. To contact Tom, text (402) 201-8534.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is October 4, 2023.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited seating arrangements, invitations are limited to specified guests only which can be found on your RSVP card.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved for the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Omaha Northwest. Use this link https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1672260294022&key=GRP&app=resvlink for the special rate or call the hotel directly at (402) 999-8089 and mention either the last name "DiMari" or "Silknitter" to reserve a room. The rate expires October 4, 2023 so make sure to book anytime before that day! The hotel will also be offering the rate if you would like to stay on Thursday, November 2nd or Friday, November 3rd. If we need to book more rooms, contact Anna at (402) 595-0629 or Tom at (402) 201-8534.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will not have transportation to and from the hotels. However, you can use Uber or Lyft.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Omaha?

Answer

There's a ton of stuff to do! Check out the "Things To Do" tab for some ideas.

When will dinner take place?

Answer

At 7 PM.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

Take 'Em Catering will be serving hot beef and gravy and smoked salmon as the main dishes with gourmet mac 'n cheese and a vegetable medley as the sides. For non-alcoholic beverages, there will be coffee, tea, pop, and a water station. For alcoholic drinks, we will have canned beer, wine, and the most common liquor to make mixed drinks.

What if I have a severe food allergy?

Answer

If you have a severe food allergy, such as peanut or shellfish, please contact Anna (402) 595-0629 to make arrangements.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes, duh! We will be having Fay Porter from Image Entertainment be our DJ for the evening! He's awesome!

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, check out our "Registry" page on this website for all the info you need. We are registered through Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cabela's (use password: november42023), Crate & Barrel, and Target.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

While we are excited to see everyone's photos, we are having an unplugged ceremony, so we politely ask that all cellular devices are turned off and put away. We hired an amazing photographer that will capture all the important moments so that you can be present with us during that time. However, during the reception, feel free to take as many photos and/or videos as your heart desires!

Answer

Anna will take the last name Silknitter AND keep DiMari! So two legal last names without the hyphen!

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, The Barn is wheelchair accessible.

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

While we are not requiring any COVID testing or vaccinations, we do ask that if you are feeling unwell to please use your own discretion.

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

Our website will stay accurate and updated. We will not change any existing information after May, however, we may add some information (most likely just FAQs). Look here first for any changes. If there are any major changes where we need to let people know quickly, we will shoot you a text or give you a call.
