Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Anna Hirt and Thaddeus Schulte
We are so excited that you're joining us in Aruba for our wedding. The island is full of activities that you're going to love! In addition to these recommendations, there are tons of excursions that you can book through your hotel concierge: snorkel cruises and scuba diving, jet skiing and tubing, and horseback riding are popular and a lot of fun.

We have used this company for a UTV (off-road vehicle) tour of Aruba's eastern shores, and loved their high quality vehicles and jam-packed itinerary. We did the Black Stone Beach tour, which took us to a cave pool, natural bridge, the Bushiribana Gold Mill ruins, the California Lighthouse on the northern tip of the island, and Tres Trapi beach for snorkeling. Tours include pick-up from your hotel, and this company can also be booked through the Casa Del Mar hotel concierge.

We had our engagement celebration dinner here! Located across from the Aruba Beach Club. They offer an early bird special three-course menu and usually have live steel drums on Sundays.

We'll be having our welcome dinner here! We enjoy it any day of the week for happy hour (BOGO $10 frozen drinks! We recommend ordering a Nutty Monkey) and fries. They also offer breakfast and lunch. Wednesday nights offer all you can eat grouper (a popular type of fish).

We haven't been here before, personally, but it is very popular for families with young children and conveniently located near the hotel areas on the island. Photos that we have seen look lovely!

Baby Beach

Baby Beach

San Nicolas, Aruba

This is a classic spot in Aruba, with serene, shallow water. The beach is public, and there are cabana rentals and a casual restaurant on site. Going here is also a fun way to explore outside the main hotel areas; you could also visit the town of San Nicolas on your way to Baby Beach.

Pizza Bob´s Restaurant & Pub

A simple pizza joint that's walking distance the "low rise" hotel area. We enjoy heating up leftovers for lunch on the beach, too! They also serve pasta dishes. From 5-7:00 p.m. there's a happy hour where medium pizzas are upgraded to a large size for no extra charge. It's far from the best pizza in the world, but it's pizza...and that's kind of clutch after a long day in the sun when you don't feel like doing something fancy!

Spa Del Sol

This spa is located at the Manchebo Hotel. Their massage facilities are private, but open to the ocean sounds and breeze; it's a very peaceful spot for some pampering.

We ate here on our last vacation in Aruba! Creative tacos, good prices, and a happy hour on beer, wine, and mixed drinks (under $5) from 5 to 9 pm make it a casual and well-priced option. The restaurant is located in the "high rise" hotel area. There is nightlife nearby and many street vendors for souvenirs.
