Anna and Tate met on the first day of a freshman summer program at UGA, FreshCo, where they shared a bottle of liquor in Tate's dorm that night. They both lived on the 6th floor of the O-House dorm, just a few doors down from each other. They were friends that year but only ran into each other for the next couple of years. Summer of 2017, they reconnected at the rooftop Standard pool. In the fall, Tate started working at an elementary after school program where Anna was his boss. They both knew there was something there...Tate finally asked Anna on their first date to Mexican April 6th, 2018. After that, they fell in love!

Anna, Tate, and both of their families were all in Disney World for Christmas. They planned for "family photos" since it's rare to have everyone together. The pictures were at 8:00am with freezing temperatures on our day off from the parks. They were by a lake, in gloves and hats, and shivering, when Tate asked Anna to marry her. After, they celebrated all day with their families. It was the happiest day.
