Yes, we unfortunately had to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19. That being said, we are still charging forward with plans to exchange vows that same day- just not as we had pictured. We will be "eloping" / having a micro wedding with just parents and wedding party. We are entirely playing it by ear (what else can we do!) but we're planning to have a very simple ceremony on the beach. It'll be at Pacific City, OR on August 22, 2020 around 4 pm. We are trying to figure out a way to livestream our ceremony on Zoom for all of our guests so that you can virtually attend!
Because it's the best beach ever!! Duh. We actually took our first weekend getaway trip together in Pacific City back in 2015. Stephen planned an elaborate surprise trip, telling me only what I needed to pack and that we'd be gone for 3 days. The weekend was full of surprises, we stayed at a hotel near Cape Kiwanda, got up early to go horseback riding one of the mornings, and he even surprised me by inviting two of our friends out for one of the nights. We spent the days lounging on Cape Kiwanda, and the evenings building fires and roasting marshmellows. It is by far one of my fondest memories of our relationship, and I always tell stephen that I fell in love with him there. That's why we're getting married in Pacific City.
