We met at a friends barbecue during the week of Thanksgiving. It was a small group of friends and we had lots of laughs and everyone stayed until well after dinner was over. As Shawn was leaving I made it a point to give him a hug goodbye, which was obvious he was not excepting. From that point on my sister and our friend Amber started texting Shawn about me (subtle). After a few months of skype dates on March 9th we had our first real date and here we are now, 3 years later!
We were supposed to have dinner at our friends house, the same friends who had the barbecue where we met. My sister and another friend had asked me if I wanted to go on a trail walk before so the guys could catch up. When we got to the end of the trail Shawn popped out from behind some plants, knelt down, and asked me to marry him. It was the perfect day to celebrate with our small group of friends who it all started with and we cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family in March of 2022.
We have made the decision to postpone until March 5th 2022 due to personal reasons. We are still very much excited to celebrate with you all then and are working on getting new announcements out in the mail. Please feel free to email any questions to Anna at annamadge@gmail.com.
