Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airport to our venue is Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence (FLR). Depending on where you are flying from, this may require a connecting flight. This is just a short 15 minute ride from the hotel, so we recommend taking taxi or arranging for a private transfer to the hotel. You are also able to fly into Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome (FCO) which has direct flights from all major airports. From here, we recommend taking a train directly from the airport to Florence. Fiumicino Aeroporto train station will take you to the Roma Termini train station where you will switch trains to get to Firenze Santa Maria Novella station in Florence. This is an about 2 hour train ride with beautiful views of the Italian countryside! You are also able to taxi to the Roma Termini station from the airport and take the train from there to Firenze Santa Maria Novella station in Florene. Due to limited space we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitation.

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes - please see the "travel" page of the website. This is where we have a room block and will be staying. You are also welcome to stay in a hotel or Airbnb of your choosing. Please note that our hotel room block will close as of June 17th so if you do not book using our group rate by then you will have to book outside of the rate or find different accommodations.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal attire. Long dresses for women and suits for men. Dress for summer in Italy!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin a 6pm.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. The dancing portion of our evening will be indoors. August in Florence should be very warm but bring layers just in case!

How far is the hotel from the venue? Is there transportation?

Answer

Our venue is about 15 minutes from the hotel. We are still inquiring about transportation to the villa and will share details once we have them.

How should I get around Florence?

Answer

Florence is a small walkable city so we recommend exploring by foot! Taxis are also available through apps like AppTaxi, TaxiMove and FreeNow.
