Rocky Mountain National Park
The Rocky Mountain National Park Grand Lake entrance station is about an hour's drive away from Winter Park. There are hiking options but simply driving through the park offers stunning views, especially along the Trail Ridge Road.
Grand Lake
Don't have time to make it out to Rocky Mountain National Park? Grand Lake is a gorgeous option! The lake has lovely walking trails around it and Grand Lake is a fun little city to spend some time in.
Black Hawk
Not stoked about the outdoors? No problem, go gamble! Black Hawk is less than an hour away and is home to several casinos. Black Hawk was a mining town and now it serves to mine your pockets.
Winter Park Resort
You might not know this, but Winter Park is both a city AND a ski resort! Will there be snow? Probably [hopefully] not. But there's opportunities for mountain biking and gondola rides, and the views at the top are part of the reason why Phil hasn't moved back to Fargo
Winter Park area golf courses
There are four golf courses all less than an hour's drive away from Winter Park: Pole Creek, Grand Elk, Granby Ranch and Grand Lake. Are they good golf courses? No idea, Anna never graduated past the first hole of mini golf. But with the views you can get, does it even matter?
