How's the weather in Oregon in September?

Answer

Unpredictable. Summers are beautiful, sunny and dry, and fall is even moreso! But it can also be pouring rain, cold and windy. Pack and prepare for both, as it is not uncommon to have a 40 degree temperature swing between day and night.

How should I dress?

Answer

Our celebration is a cocktail formal event. Take this opportunity to dress up and have fun! You might want to include some hiking boots and a change of clothes if you want to explore the forest.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, the Corvallis Fall Festival will occur on Saturday and Sunday. The Corvallis Farmer's Market occurs on Saturday mornings until 1pm. This means shops and restaurants will be busier than usual, so allow some extra time when going places.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

In Corvallis we have numerous hotel options; Hilton, Marriott, Holiday Inn, among others. We also recommend Airbnb and VRBO in the Corvallis, Philomath and Albany areas.

Transportation available?

Answer

If you are flying in to Portland or Eugene, there is an airport shuttle service (Groome) that can take you to numerous hotels in Corvallis. Uber and Lyft are available around town, and the city bus service is fareless. Also, we are coordinating a shuttle to run from Corvallis to the event, as the park where the wedding will be held is a little tricky to find and has limited parking.
