HIS VERSION: I met Anna in fourth grade and I remember thinking early on... we should get married. I spent the next 20 or so years trying to think of ways to bring it up. Maybe I could do it in art class? Over MSN messenger? Too abrupt, there must be a more natural way to broach the subject I thought. High school dances passed, college passed, but I finally managed to start dating her (she asked me). To be fair, I did nothing to deserve her, and none of my planning ever panned out so I can't take the credit. I couldn't shake the feeling that getting married to Anna wasn't actually my plan at all, but Providence. I asked her to be my wife in a cabin near the Canadian border at the beginning of a cross country skiing trip. She said yes! 20 years of failed planning later, Providence led me all over the country and back to my first and only love. HER VERSION: We both moved to Boone from separate small towns when we were 9 and 10 years old, and cheesy as it sounds, we still think it was destiny. I liked his gentle and curious mind that stumped the teachers with his questions and made them mad. I especially loved his gold and blue track suit. We bonded over Animorphs, merciless tennis matches (I beat him 3 times), and solving life's mysteries at Dairy Queen. We were easy friends but the secret crush we had on each other kept us at arm's length. We spent the next 20 years chasing after each other...during times we were apart, there was a mutual nagging pull back to each other. He eventually asked me to marry him (but I knew it was going to happen ;) I love that man and can't wait to marry him, and can't wait to let all of you be a part of the story.
