New Covid Guidelines

Rules and Regulations as of January 25th, 2021

TLDR — Due to covid and personal finances, our guest list is strict and slim. Please do not bring children or plus ones of any kind unless it has been okayed by the bride or coordinator directly, or specified on your invitation envelope. Masks are required. Additionally, there will be no reception ir dancing as we feel that there are too many rules to enforce. In greater detail... Due to COVID-19 mandates, case numbers rising, and no significant progression to move up phases, the current rules are ceremonies and religious gatherings are at a limited capacity. Additionally, there will be no reception or dancing as we feel that there are too many rules to enforce unfortunately. As phases may change, our decision as far as the wedding and ceremony size and schedule still remains as is. We also still plan to have a fuller celebration at a later time. Masks are required through the entirety of the wedding for everyone, excluding the officiant, bride, and groom. During a brief mingling period following the ceremony and before the send off, only members of the wedding party may give a toast. We are sad to inform you all of these new rules during these hard times. This isn’t how we wanted any of this to go. Although, we are lucky for the numbers that we do have, and that we can have a public ceremony at all. If you are upset or hurt, we empathize with you. If you are offended, please keep your opinions to yourself. With no COVID restrictions at all, our wedding would still be small due to where Liam and I are financially. We’ll most likely postpone our reception to a later time. We apologize for any inconvenience. With love, Anna & Liam

Proposal Story

May 14th, 2020

Ahh May 14th. What a day of plans. May 14th, 2020, Liam and I planned to fly to Paris. I’m sure by now you can guess his plans. 💍 He had it planned to the date and time. He’d wake me just before sunrise in time to beat the tourists to this beautiful location in perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. Then he’d queue the photographer he already hired. After his beautiful proposal, he planned to take me to a cafe that he thought I’d love. Tickets were cancelled quite a bit of time after we figured there’d be no flight during a global pandemic. Plan B? family beach trip. Cancelled. My point is, this wasn’t plan A or plan B. It wasn’t even plan C or D. Even something as simple as not having my nails done. I’m notorious with my close friends for my “black claws” haha!! So, he took me to Lucia Falls, a hike we frequented and love. Liam had made poster boards that said, “To me, you’re perfect.” & “I know this isn’t Paris, but will you be my quarantine partner for life?” He took me to overlook the water as I dragged my romper in the mud. He got down on one knee. After he asked me to marry him, he said, “Wait nevermind. Let me rephrase that...” (scaring me half to death), and said instead, “puis-je être ton mari” ...Roughly translated from french, “Can I be your husband?” I said, “FINALLY!” For photos, click the tab on the drop down menu labeled, Photos. And it poured rain the whole time, of course. So, what to do now? Press on through every obstacle, together. So here we are, together, coming up with life as we go. It was so romantic, beautiful, and fun. No plans to impress. No expectations of how things should look. No worries about what happens next. Fear of the future? Maybe a little, as nature would have it. However, we have faith. After many obstacles, love is not cancelled. We could wait longer than we’ve already waited, for the unknown to lift and for life to go back to normal. But, why? 🖤💍 Fear doesn’t stand a chance when there’s love & faith.

How They Met

2010 ish

Liam and Anna met immediately after he moved to Washington from Cincinnati, Ohio and started going to the same church as Anna when he was about 10 years old, she was 12. Liam claims he was in love at first sight. Maybe he’s right but she was not having it. She actually had a pretty strong dislike of him for a few long years. After being forced to put up with each other, going to the same church and all (plus having parents be friends and the same peer groups), they finally became friends. On April 20th, 2016, Liam and Anna started a romantic relationship. The rest is history! He proposed 4 years in and now they’re pumped to tie the knot this May.
