Listen. You’re here, it’s legendary. Might as well check it out. The Packers Hall of Fame is fun and there’s a great brewery next to the field. It’s a can’t miss for football fans!
Our favorite place to eat around town! They are open Thursday - Saturday so a great option if you get into town early. We highly recommend the broasted chicken and and don't forget to try the Wisconsin Old Fashioned (whiskey, sour, olives)! They close at 8pm on Thursdays and 9pm on the weekend. This is a classic Wisconsin Supper Club where you order at the bar and then are seated for dinner.
Great atmosphere, better BBQ! Great local dining specializing in Texas BBQ and wood fired pizzas.
This is a 7 generation family farm with a Farmtober Fest on the weekends 11am-4pm in October. This is a great place for kids and adults alike!
Check out main street in Shawano - The Stock Market and Fully Stocked Wine Bar are a fun place to check out while in town. You can also see some of the fun murals around town and take in the small town country charm.
Nice little breakfast spot. This is a great place to start your day and then wander down main street.
It is Fall in Wisconsin so checking out the beautiful leaves is a must! Take a drive out in the country and keep an eye out for the famous Shawano County Barn Quilts. This address takes you to an Amish store out in the country. October means you will likely drive by some farms selling pumpkins and other fall decor.
Long known for its gnarled cedars rooted atop boulders, its rapidly flowing section of the Embarrass River, and riverside pathways and swimming holes, Hayman Falls is a local favorite! There is a short hike to some nice small falls and the park itself is a beautiful place to check out the famous Wisconsin Fall foliage!
Shawano is famously home to Twig's Sundrop soda! This is a fun activity for kids because they have a museum and tour where you can try the soda. You can't visit Shawano without trying some Sundrop!
Sorry can't find an address for this local favorite but it is a beautiful spot with some small falls and nice for swimming if the weather allows. It is right before you get to the wedding venue location but on the opposite side of the road (Between 9638 and 9552 Butternut Rd on the South side of the road). This spot does require a few minutes of walking but well worth it for a picnic lunch or a relaxing morning.
You love bacon and they have it! Stop by and grab some of your favorite cheeses and cured meats.
