FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by July 15th.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Since we're getting married in a garden, in the mountains, we'd love if you dressed in Garden Party attire! Garden attire for a wedding typically calls for semi-formal to dressy-casual, featuring light fabrics, pastel colors, and floral patterns suitable for an outdoor setting. Women often wear tea-length, midi, or maxi dresses, while men opt for light-colored suits or blazers with chinos, avoiding denim. Practicality is key: choose comfortable shoes for grass, such as block heels or wedges.  Key Elements for Garden Wedding Guest Attire  * Colors & Patterns: Embrace soft pastels, bright hues, and floral prints that complement the natural surroundings. * Fabrics: Prioritize breathable and lightweight materials like linen, cotton, chiffon, or chambray. * Women's Attire: Flowing midi or maxi dresses, tea-length dresses, or elegant jumpsuits are recommended. * Men's Attire: A light-colored suit (beige, light gray, blue) is ideal, but a blazer paired with tailored chinos is a perfect "dressy casual" alternative. Ties are optional. * Footwear: Avoid stilettos as they will sink into the grass; opt for block heels, wedges, or dressy sandals. * Layering: Bring a shawl, wrap, or cardigan for potential, rapid temperature drops in the evening.
What to Avoid  * White/Ivory: Avoid wearing white, ivory, or cream to avoid matching the bride. * Too Casual: Steer clear of denim, t-shirts, and sneakers. * Overly Formal: Avoid heavy, beaded, or formal floor-length gowns designed for evening ballrooms.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! Children are welcome at all events.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 5pm in the Enchanted Mesa Garden at Chautauqua in Boulder, CO. Please allow PLENTY of time for parking, as this can be challenging at Chautauqua. See a map of the venue on the "Travel" page of our website.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, but it is limited. There is a small lot near the Ranger Cottage and street parking on Morning Glory Drive. Because Chautauqua is a popular public landmark, spots fill up quickly on weekends. We highly recommend carpooling or using rideshares.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will have a welcome dinner at Harlow Platts Park in Boulder on Saturday the 5th, and a farewell hike in Chautauqua the morning after the wedding on the 7th. Please see the "Schedule" page for more info.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are a limited number of cabins at Chautauqua available for the weekend of our wedding. Please see the "Travel" page for more details. We recommend looking for accommodations early as our wedding falls on a holiday weekend and options may become limited.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Your presence at our celebration is truly the best gift we could ask for! Since we currently live in a small apartment, we already have all the household items we need and simply don't have room for more stuff. We also aren't quite sure where life will take us over the next few years. Because of this, we’ve decided to skip a traditional gift registry. If you would like to give us a gift, we would be incredibly grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon or a down payment on a future house, which are available on the "Registry" page of this website.
