They met in college. Fate had intervened. Anna was looking at Ivy Leagues and so was Karli - in fact, the two almost ended up at opposing schools; Dartmouth and Princeton. Instead, the two landed in the south. Specifically, Hendrix College and Rhodes College which happened to be rivals 2 hours and 20 minutes from each other. On April 4th of 2018, the two finally crossed paths. It wasn't until 2.5 years later that the two re-connected. And, ever since then, it's been evident on how these two were sent on a destined path to find one another. From long distance to creating a life together in the city they fell in love in, these two are examples that soulmates exist.
Anna had NO idea! I had reached out to one of Anna's friends - shoutout Shannon Tierney - in September to set something up, didn't quite know what yet. As we edged into November, I realized the city HAD to be a part of it. So... we acted like we were going out for Shannon's birthday (really great timing). In fact, Shannon texted Anna and set up the whole night: ice skating in Millennium Park and dinner/drinks at the restaurant we had our first date (c'mon Anna, how did you not know?). As we started skating around, my anxiety was on level 10 because I literally could not stay up. After a pep talk from Shannon and me requesting them to play "All of Me" by John Legend, I proposed to the most beautiful girl in the world. It will always be one the bests night of my life. - Karli We are so full of exhilaration for what this life has in store for us and cannot wait to celebrate with you all! See you in North Carolina!
