hi family and friends, josh here. my sophomore year of college, i lived in a tiny apartment with 7 other guys. if you want vivid memories, laughter, messy bathrooms, and cheap rent, text me right now and maybe i'll become your realtor. i'm not a realtor, but maybe i'll do it. we had many things on the walls- a deer (his name was wendell), golf flags, men's underwear (do not ask), and a small nerf basketball hoop. with that hoop, we played a game where if you made a shot, someone had to do something crazy. one of my buddies made a shot, and sure enough i was off to the store to grab flowers, a card, and a ring pop to propose to a girl of his choice for my next date event. that girl was anna. there's a video, maybe she'll let me post it. we quickly became very fond of eachother. it turns out she's even weirder than i was and way prettier than me! it was a really fun and sweet time. down the road, we broke up to revisit the deeper joy that comes with knowing jesus. it came with tears and pain, but through the process we were reminded of the renewal Jesus brings us every day. after we grew up a bit, we still really like each other. heck, we loved each other! we decided to give it another shot. and here we are! it turns out the sequel was better than the original. anna and i's relationship is far from perfect now. it will never be perfect, either. we're not even shooting for perfect! what we are shooting for is showering it with the grace and love of Jesus, because her and i are constantly showered in it. it's not one of those eco friendly shower heads either. those things suck, but that's another conversation. this conversation is going to end by thanking you. thank you, thank you, thank you. you have invested in anna and i, and we can't wait to celebrate you for the rest of our lives through our marriage. we're serious about it too!
