Question

Question

How much should I expect to spend?

Answer

Traveling to Italy for a week to celebrate with us is no small feat! We appreciate your willingness to invest in this experience. We will cover all accommodation fees for the villa, you just show up and enjoy your stay. Here is a list of possible expenses and potential price ranges associated with this trip that will not be covered. - Flights: Dependent on booking time and departure airport. DFW, MIA, and PHX airports typically have frequent deals to Italy throughout the year. ~$500-$1500 - Airport Transportation: Please find your own transportation into the city and to the villa. The city has many trains and busses for those that choose to use them as a more affordable way of travel. Lyft, Ubers and Cabs will be available in the city but will be more expensive. ~$100 - Accommodations on the dedicated travel day Wednesday September 15th (Jon and Anna will be staying in a hotel in Florence centre and will happily share which one to those who would like to stay in the same place as the couple) ~$100-$300 - Meals: many meals will be catered during the week. Please still plan for any additional meals or snacks while out and exploring the city ~$200 - Wine Tour: We will have one day fully dedicated to what the beautiful vineyards have to offer, if staying at the villa please plan on attending ~$200 - Cooking Class: let’s make pasta in the pasta capital of the world! This will be approximately 3 hour experience. If staying at the villa please plan on attending ~$50-$150

Question

Will the trip be child friendly?

Answer

Children are welcome however the trip itself might not be friendly to small children. This trip is more comfortable for children who are used to planes, busses, full days of walking, and large time zone shifts. Please plan on finding child care during certain adult only activities such as cooking classes, wine tours, etc. If staying at the villa each group is only allotted one room, please keep that in mind when considering children and available space. If car seats, strollers, etc are needed please consider renting a car during your stay. If your child is not well traveled please consider the 9 hour time difference from US and potential jet lag and plan ahead!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code is formal. For women, this means a long evening gown, and for men, a suit and tie are appropriate.

Question

I don’t know if I can RSVP by 5/1/2026, can I still come to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! You are still welcome to come to the wedding. A separate RSVP will be sent out for the wedding ceremony. Please find your own accommodations for the trip.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please see the schedule page on our website for the list of events.

Question

When should I book travel?

Answer

We encourage you to book in advance to avoid higher flight rates. 12-5 months in advance.

Question

Where should I fly into

Answer

If traveling in on Wednesday September 15th, it is best to fly into Aeroporto di Firenze “Amerigo Vespucci” Airport in Florence

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

September in Italy is still very warm. Please pack outfits that will be comfortable in the heat and spending lots of time outside. Plan to pack comfortable shoes for exploring the city, swimsuit for the pool and formal dress for the wedding (color pallet still to come). Outlets in Europe are different from the US- bring adaptors so you can still use your electronic devices!

Question

Do I need a passport to attend the wedding?

Answer

Yes! You will need a passport to get into Italy and attend the wedding! If you do not have a passport plan to get one at least 6 months in advance to avoid delays in the process.
