The Szymoszkowa slope offers a unique view of the Tatra Mountains. You can easily walk to the lift from the hotel. Go in the back of the hotel - not around - it's a lot faster! Located right next to the Hotel modern six-seat lift will take you up to Gubalowka mountain top! The top station has bars and restaurants, lots of souvenir shops with panoramic views. The length of the slope is 1,342.17m. To go down take a funicular railway train on the other side that will take you straight to famouse Krupowki Street -> https://www.zakopane.pl/en/tourist-area/tourism/mountain-ropeways/gubalowka-funicular-railway
The cable car trip to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m asl) takes approximately 15 minutes and takes place in two stages with a change in Myślenickie Turnie (1325 m asl). Once you reach the very peak of the mountain, should the weather permit, we strongly recommend the climb to meteorological observatory, which is in fact the highest situated building in Poland. We can then suggest a descent to Cicha Valley Pass to admire the breathtaking panorama of the High Tatras over the Slovakian side. We suggest completing the trip at the terrace by the restaurant overlooking the peaks of the Polish High Tatra mountains and the whole of Podhale region. To get to the Kasprowy Wierch cable car station you have to get to Kuznice - the upper part of Zakopane. The road from the John Paul II Roundabout is closed for private cars. One can easily get there by the public minibus or by taxi. The approximately cost of the taxi transfer from the centre of Zakopane to Kuznice is 5-6 Euro.
On Krupowki, Zakopane’s most famous street, you will find local shops and stalls with products from the mountainous Podhale region. You can buy jewellery (including brooches in the typical heart-shaped “parzenica” pattern), clothes made of wool and leather (hats, vests, coats, gloves, shoes and socks), intricatley carved wooden souvenirs and regional treats, including oscypek cheese. In atmospheric tradional restautants you can try delicious local cuisine.
