Hunter has always been a people person. He can become friends with any person he meets. I went to a Baron’s game in April of 2018 with some friends. It was one of the first ones of the season so naturally it was very crowded. I decided to go grab us some drinks while my friends tried to find good seats. The line was so long and I was getting impatient (surprise, surprise). This guy in front of me starts trying to make small talk with me. I’m not one for small talk especially with a stranger; I just wanted to get my drinks, sit with my friends, and enjoy the game. However, this guy had a charm to him so I gave in. By the time we got our drinks, this guy and I had been talking about our love for baseball and even introduced ourselves (yes, the line was really that long to exchange all that information). I have to admit I got my hopes up when he told me his last name because I knew it was Italian which is a great sign for me since I’m half Italian. Hunter asked if I wanted to come sit with him and his friends to watch the game, I agreed and gathered my own friends and we moved seats. We spent the whole time talking and enjoying each others company. We even figured out that our families knew each other from high school. My uncle and his dad were best of friends at John Carroll. At the end of the game Hunter asked for my number with the hopes of a date soon to follow. Obviously it worked out because I found my best friend and future husband! I’m more than blessed.
