Fort Worth Stockyards Station
The Stockyards are a fun, Texas-y area to explore with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Notably, at 11:30 AM and 4 PM everyday (weather permitting), there is a cattle drive where the longhorns walk through main street.
Cowtown Coliseum
It doesn't get more Texan than a rodeo! On 7:30 PM Friday night there will be a Rodeo championship, featuring barrel racing, team roping, and bronc riding, etc. Sunday at 2:30 PM there will be bull fighting show. Grab a beer and experience the true cowboys (and girls) of Texas!
Fort Worth Water Gardens
Walk through the Water Gardens in the heart of downtown Fort Worth and Experience a variety of water features as you wander through this relaxing urban plaza.
The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
About 30 minutes from Fort Worth, the JFK 6th Floor Museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of John F Kennedy. The museum is located in the former Texas School Book Depository building on the very floor where the shooter sat in wait.
George W. Bush Presidential Library & Center
Dallas is home to one of the country's presidential libraries. It features artifacts, photo exhibits, and a 15-acre park with native fauna and walking trails.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Explore 66 acres of gardens, sculptures and seasonal flowers at one of the top botanical gardens in the world. During this weekend, the Autumn Festival will be going on, featuring a pumpkin village made of over 100,000 pumpkins and gourds. This is one of our favorite places in Dallas!
Pioneer Plaza
Walk through a bronze recreation of a cattle drive in the heart of Dallas. This park is worth driving by if you are visiting the nearby Dealey Plaza.
Historic Grapevine
If you're making a trip out of your visit to Texas, we recommend you make the hour trip to Historic Grapevine. Featuring local shops, public art, and local wine tasting rooms, this preserved historic town offers a fun way to get out of the city. We highly recommend visiting the Mason & Dixie restaurant for some comforting Southern eats.
