Polina is my oldest New York friend, whom I was incredibly lucky to meet as soon as I moved to the city. She has an incredible sense of humor, confidence, liveliness, and a love for singing YouTube karaoke, which helped us become best friends. We are always excited to see each other and talk about everything until our abs hurt from laughing.

My eldest brother and lifelong confidant, he is a fount of energy for all around him. If you’re feeling tired at all during any part of these celebrations, pop in some ear plugs and close in on him. I was very happy to learn that Gavin has another Russian, Anna, in his family! Anna combines kindness, empathy, confidence, and a very strong business mind, which is a pretty rare combination. Also, she is the best trip and events planner! I am very lucky to be friends with her and to be a part of the family.

I have this man and his beaming wife to thank for finding my own little cosmonaut. Brendan has guided me through every step of my life, and I know when he cautions me not to do something, then I should definitely proceed with it. We’re not sure where he hails from, as Green Brothers are equipped with massive head and banshee wail at birth. He speaks and carries himself like the Godfather, but in lieu of a cat on his lap he wields a brand new small baby.

Jennie is like a sunflower, radiating happiness and brightness wherever she goes! She is the person you want to be around all the time. We met in a club, discovered that we are neighbors, and Jennifer motivated me to join the gym, where I have made many good friends. She also introduced me to Gavin, and I am very thankful for that!

His hair screams Wall Street and his beard whispers حبيبتي, if you get this man near a mic you will hear ABBA. My friend for 17 years, this man has a heart of solid gold, and he’ll tell you he loves you if he’s rounding his 12th drink.

It’s impossible not to be friends with Ksenia. She is such a positive and cheerful person that every meeting with her feels like a little holiday. Ksenia’s mother was the one who connected us; she found me online and advised Ksenia to text me. I am so happy that she did! We have shared many great moments together, and I hope we will have many more!

Jack Crane is an Ex US Army soldier. Most likely a line cook or hydration specialist, he never learned how to fire a rifle. He has been my friend longer than anyone, and in 7th grade we got in a fight and I beat the hell out of him.

Or Beefcake Delo, as he is known at Scarlett’s in Honolulu. We served together on that venerable old ship, the USS Bonhomme Richard. Joseph wouldn’t be with us today if I hadn’t saved his life in a bar fight in Boston that he started.
Zachary Wales

There will only ever be one Zachary Wales. He is the unholy combination of Hunter S. Thompson and a 14th Century Monk. He’s my oldest buddy from the Marines, in which he still serves, and has always seen right through me. He got us kicked out of a Chick-Fil-A in Salinas for doing a ceremonial Korean bow to an infant.
AJ "Tony" Wislow

Daylighting as a financier, AJ rivals PETA in dogs rescued and funds wasted on asinine endeavors. Mercurial enough to merit winged sandals, his mood bounces faster than his checks. AJ got me my job, and I will never forgive him for that.
Mark "English Mark" Garnett
Groomsman
English Mark was born and raised at Upper Buckleberry Manor in West Berkshire, or some such place, England. His grandfather, Charles I, rode against the King, Charles I, in the Battle of Mumpford Snoring. A true man of the world, he speaks German, French, Spanish, Dutch, and is now trying his hand at learning English. He currently finds work as a Royal Page.

There are not enough words to describe my friend Katya. She is strong, kind, and very ambitious. We met online while Katya was looking for professional connections, but ended up as anything but a useful work connection. She motivated me to move to Manhattan, which turned out to be a big step for me in finding my Gavin.
