We're Getting Married!

Although we grew up in neighboring counties and spent time playing basketball in the same gyms, even possibly facing each other in the 5th grade tournament we never officially met. That might have had something to do with Anna’s competitive nature and her rule about not making friends with the opposing team! Fast forward to the summer of 2024: Anna, Sydney, and Leslie took a girls’ trip to Ireland and had the most wonderful time exploring together. Shortly after returning home, Anna noticed on social media that Eli Phillips was in Ireland on a study abroad trip. She saw the perfect opportunity to share some helpful travel suggestions. Eli appreciated her tips and continued to check in, sending Anna pictures from his adventures. When he returned home, he finally worked up the courage to ask her on a date. They decided on the Fourth of July to watch fireworks, the perfect first date. And since you’re reading this on our wedding website, you know that it’s been fireworks ever since. Funny how it took traveling across the world to find each other just one county over.
