We officially met in January 2021 when he slid in my Facebook messages with, “Don’t I know you?” Now he already knew who I was — I’d been working at the gas station right next to his house for a minute. 😏 But I played along. We started texting here and there, then all day… then talking on the phone until we fell asleep. I’d wake up in the middle of the night, and he’d still be on the line. Fast forward a bit — we finally linked up, and on our second date, we went to City Café. The very next day, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We’ve been locked in like Bonnie and Clyde ever since. Then came Christmas Eve 2023. He told me to get dressed up for dinner, said we had plans at Rodizio’s. We got there and got seated by the window… and then he disappeared for a minute. Next thing I know, here he comes — with my mom and my grandma — getting down on one knee. I couldn’t even hold the tears. I was crying before I could say yes. I probably cried six more times that night. I still can’t believe the man I fell in love with asked me to be his wife. And now, here we are — taking that final step and saying I do.
