One Valentine’s Day, Carter took Anna to see "The Notebook", not knowing that the film would quietly become a thread woven through their love story. Fast forward to June 2025. While planning one of their many adventures together, Anna settled on Charleston to visit her lifelong friend, Bridgette. As she researched the area, she discovered that several scenes from "The Notebook" had been filmed nearby. When she learned that Cypress Gardens, the iconic setting of the rowboat scene, was just a short drive away, she immediately added it to their itinerary. After Anna shared the plan, Bridgette asked to tag along, having never been herself. What Anna didn’t know was that Carter had already been working behind the scenes, with Bridgette & others fully in on the surprise. Once they arrived at Cypress Gardens, the three of them wandered through the breathtaking scenery, taking in the quiet beauty. As Anna walked ahead, Carter slowed behind her, took a deep breath, and got down on one knee and asked Anna to marry him. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Carter had secretly flown his sister, Morgan, in to capture the moment, and later that evening, Anna was stunned to learn that her best friend Elena and her now-fiancé Andrew were also flying in to celebrate. The rest of the weekend was spent exploring Charleston, eating incredible food, shopping, laughing, and celebrating their engagement, turning a trip inspired by a love story into the very beginning of their own.
