Please check your passports and make sure they have at least 6 months of validity on them after you return from the trip. The airlines will not let you board without 6 months of validity left. Passports may take 2 months or longer to receive/renew so please start the process now.

Flight

Flight schedules are now available. We recommend flying into Rome as there are more direct flights. Florence is also an option but will most likely require a connection. Both are a 2.5 hour drive from the venue. Watch for deals on sites like Google Flights or Kayak.

Rental Car

Baby, You Can Drive My Car

Most guests will be getting a rental car. In order to properly explore the area, dine out, or go to the grocery store approximately 10 driving minutes away, you will need to have a car. Also, the venue consists of three farmhouses located approximately 15 walking minutes apart. One house is at the top of a large hill. Wedding activities will take place in all areas. There are numerous rental agencies you can use at both airports and rail stations. We recommend using Auto Europe or Sixt for your rental cars as they usually have the best prices in Europe. Make sure you opt for full coverage as this is best practice anytime you leave the US. Airports are Rome Fiumicino or Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport. The closest rail station is Chiusi Chianciano Terme (30 minute drive). Please familiarize yourself with local laws and signs, they are very intuitive. You will need an International Drivers License to drive in Italy. This can be done through AAA, you can apply in person or by mail. Train

Come on ride the train

Rail tickets are not available until a few months in advance or can be purchased at the station. Rail Europe is a good source for the tickets. Currently, Rome Fiumicino Station to Chiusi-Chianciano station is available with a change at Rome Termini station. Florence airport requires a bit more coordination, as you will need to buy tickets on two websites. Currently you will need to board a GEST city tram at Florence Peretola Airport and exit at the Santa Maria Novella Train station. From here you will take a train to the Chiusi-Chianciano station. On The Road Again

Checkout of the estate is at 2:30 on May 25, 2025. If you want to start your travel adventure on this afternoon we recommend staying in Assisi for a few nights to explore the city and surrounding towns or head back towards Rome or Florence. We highly discourage driving in Rome or Florence so please plan to drop off your rental car accordingly. We recommend having travel insurance to cover your entire trip.
