On August 24th 2018, Anna was scrolling through instagram when she stumbled across a picture of a random 2007 Volkswagen. In admiration, Anna liked the picture and continued on with her evening. A few hours later, she received a friend request on Instagram from Brandon. After exchanging a few likes back and forth (the modern day flirting tactic), Brandon reached out to Anna with a message that read, "Hey :)". Intrigued by the simplicity of his message, they began to chat. After a couple of days, Anna and Brandon decided to meet officially for their first date at Starbucks on Queensway. During their first date, Brandon would say that Anna talked the entire time while he just listened, while Anna would say, Brandon was just too mesmerized to speak. Intrigued quickly by one another, they decided to continue exploring their new connection. On the evening of December 8th, 2018, exploring the Toronto Christmas Market together, Brandon asked Anna to be his girlfriend. Over the last magical six years, Anna and Brandon have enjoyed spending their time: travelling, going to waterparks, watching movies and TV series together and visiting many, many car shows together. Over time, they began envisioning a life together and realized that many of their dreams and goals aligned. On December 13th, 2023, while exploring Unionville's annual Christmas village, in a gazebo, Brandon popped the question and asked Anna to marry him! They both cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives experiencing many more memories together.
