Our first date was a month before we officially started dating. Brady wanted to take me to meet his family at White Oak Lake because they were camping and eating together. I was scared to death because I had never met someone’s family on the first date. He was so funny and extremely honest, so I was instantly smitten with him. On our way there Brady wanted me to see his cows, and as we pulled up to the pasture gate Brady had heard a bunch of hogs. He went into full wildlife biologist mode and decided to whip his truck into the pasture pull out a flashlight and start shooting the hogs that had been tearing up his fence. After he scared them off, he finally realized someone was actually in the truck with him. I was so shocked, and he was tickled to death. When we got to the camper we ate steaks (I had never eaten a rare steak before), and we played Spades. I had never played before, and Brady took his time to teach me and be my partner. Almost 4 years later, I realize how much I’ve changed and how many times I’ve gotten out of my comfort zone to try new things (like a rare steak) with Brady. Love is a form of friendship, and what a friendship we have. Now it’ll last forever. Here’s to the rest of our lives Brady Rhodes.🤍
