We met on a dating app called "The League". Bosley had moved to Charlotte, NC after graduating from Vanderbilt and had been working for Red Ventures for the last couple of years while Anna had just moved to Charlotte after graduating from Bucknell. Anna had set her dating app location to Charlotte, NC before moving to Atlanta for the summer to do teacher training. We chatted all summer until we were able to finally go on our first date August 1st. We closed the bar on our first date and had our second date the next day! Bosley says he knew he would marry Anna after their first date. Random Fun Fact #1: Anna and Bosley's younger sister Bayly graduated from Bucknell together in 2018 (but didn't know each other!) so Bosley was at Anna's college graduation! Random Fun Fact #2: Anna and her mom, Mary Ann, were furniture shopping shortly after Anna moved to Charlotte and visited a store called South End Exchange. When Anna and Mary Ann first got out of the car, Anna vividly remembers turning towards an apartment and wondering to herself who lives there (only later to find out that was Bosley's apartment!)

Fourth of July 2020 Bosley's family spends every fourth of July in Bethany Beach, Delaware and Anna was so excited to be spending her second fourth of July with the fabulously fun and wonderful Ward Clan! Due to COVID, instead of going out to dinner, Aunt Pam and LByrd (Liza to everyone else!) organized "Dinner Teams" to plan, make and clean dinner one night of the trip. On July 4th, Aunt Pam and LByrd managed to keep Anna distracted all day with the beach and pickleball and when we got back, the girl cousins all got ready together and were having the best time. When Anna came out of the bathroom (a few hours later!) all 22 people were gone and there was Bosley (and Toby!) in the kitchen asking Anna to go for a walk. Anna was a little annoyed (she had just spent so long getting ready and was inevitably going to mess up her hair/makeup with a beach walk) but she wasn't going to turn down the opportunity to go for a beach walk with Bosley and Toby! When they got to the beach, Bosley told Anna they had to walk near the dunes so that Toby wouldn't get his paws wet. Of course it was a beautiful hot summer day and Anna was worried about getting too hot so they took breaks. During these breaks, Anna thought to herself, this would really be a great time for Bosley to propose, but she checked his heart rate (by putting her ear to his chest) and didn't find anything abnormal. She even visually checked his pockets and didn't see any ring boxes. As they were walking back across the dunes, Bosley turned to Anna and told her he loved her (to which she replied she loved him too) and kept walking. Bosley then said that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her (to which she replied she did too) and tried to keep walking on. Bosley got on his knee and pulled out the ring to an oblivious Anna and she said yes before he could even answer the question! Bosley's cousin and groomsman Peter popped out of the dunes and captured the special moment.
