We met at the Army 10-miler in 2018. A mutual friend of ours introduced us to each other. We got breakfast together after the race and linked up with each other on social media.

Despite knowing each other for over 2 years at this point, only God has perfect timing. We started to get much closer in the fall of 2020. We built a beautiful friendship that led to talking out life goals, values, and beliefs. When we realized we both wanted all the same things out of life, we started introducing each other to family and friends. After a Friendsgiving with Anna’s friends, Angel made things official.

Anna drove to Missouri for a Halloween party/Fall Festivities at Angels House at Fort Leonard Wood. We had friends come in from out of town and we went to a Heartland Farms Pumpkin Patch in the morning. After picking out pumpkins, we walked through the corn maze. Halfway through Angel asked the group to take a photo of Anna and him. He then got down on one knee and proposed without Anna ever even suspecting it.
