While both of us have attended Stony Lake Lutheran summer camp and the Michigan Gathering for many years, it wasn’t until 2017 that we actually met officially. We had so many mutual friends that we ended up spending a lot of time together incidentally. In between meeting at camp in 2017 and attending the gathering in December of that year we became extremely close, even FaceTiming 30+ hours in one week prior to the December event. After spending a lot of time together in person finally, we decided to attempt to make long distance work for the time being and began officially dating!

We were living together at the start of the pandemic, so we were quickly pushed into spending absolutely all of our time together at home. While this easily could’ve been stressful on our relationship, what we found was how easily we get along, how much we love spending time with each other, and how we want to continue to be together for the rest of our lives. Brennan got a ring and planned an amazingly sweet picnic outside the dorm we lived in together when we both lived on campus. We are SO excited to get everyone we love together to celebrate!
