Question

Who is invited to the Welcome Party the night before?

Answer

Everyone! We will have a small rehearsal dinner with immediate family and the bridal party which will be followed by a gathering at the Bride's family home at 62916 Dry Creek Lane, Summerville, OR 97876 (right down the road from the ceremony space ;) No food will be served at this gathering but our biggest hope as a couple is that we get to spend time with our guests-especially those of you who are traveling to attend! We will have yard games, refreshments, and even pickelball! Later in the night we hope to do a little worship time where Christian music will be sung by our very talented friends. No matter your religious standing it would mean the world to us if you could come for even part of The Night Before so that we can say hi to you before all of the chaos! (plus you get to spend time with/meet our other really awesome guests)

Question

What is the dresscode?

Answer

We ask that guests dress in semi-formal. For the ladies this can look like flowy summer dresses or fun bold skirts with a styled top. For the guys think nice dressy pants with a button up top. Ties and jackets are optional-unless you own a bolo tie- then you absolutely must wear that! Footwear can be anything from your highest heels to your favorite boots as long as they're good enough to dance in- feel free to bring flip flops for the dance floor ;) We do kindly ask that you leave all denim at home. Overall please don't hesitate to get as dressy, bold, and fun as you would like. We hope this helps to guide you in the right direction and we can't wait to celebrate with you! If you have further questions about what is/isn't acceptable to wear you can text Anna at 541-534-4031 and check out our Pinterest board with some wedding guest dresscode inspiration at the link below. https://pin.it/7CyyoCYJK

Question

Is there a way to help out?

Answer

Yes! If you are interested in bringing a dessert, helping set up on 8/14, or cleaning up on 8/16 you can sign up at our link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15cvuAQ-5-kzMFxUZf3sO7gCZ1C5JO5affhMEnBqNYMI/edit?usp=sharing You can also directly text Anna at (541) 534-4031 for more information!

Question

Will we be outside?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony will be held outside and our reception space will include a beautiful open sided barn. Eastern Oregon weather is famously unpredictable so it is likely we could face wind, rain, heat, and potentially wildfire smoke. We advise that you pack a jacket and maybe some sunscreen! Keep your eye on the weather app, the closest location to set it to is Summerville, OR.

Question

Is this a dry wedding?

Answer

No! There will be several alcoholic drink options at the wedding. We do warn that there is no Uber in our small town! Please plan on having a designated sober driver to take you home. We are not afraid to take your keys away and strand you for the night (blankets and pillows not provided)

Question

How do I get to the venue from La Grande?

Answer

It's easy! Simply get on Hunter road heading north out of La Grande, you will stay on Hunter the entire time until you reach the very end (about 20 min) you will be faced with either veering right onto Dry Creek Lane or continuing straight onto Craig's Loop which is gravel. At this little intersection our venue is directly to your left. With the amount of parked cars out front our venue will be easy to spot!

Question

Will it be a no-phone ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have hired a very talented professional photographer and although we love how excited you may be to capture our special day- we ask that you limit your photo taking to before and after the ceremony. This is in an effort to keep our ceremony un-plugged and distraction free- trust me when I say that our photographer can take better photos than your phone can ;)
